It has been twenty years since my wife Patricia and I purchased Lorne’s Electric from Mr. Lorne Bretzlaff.  Next year the company will celebrate its 50th year in business; 50 years of servicing the electrical needs  and requirements of Arnprior, Ottawa, and  surrounding towns of the Ottawa Valley.

Eric Glahs, Owner & President of Lorne’s Electric

We have wired barns, apartments, new homes, libraries and garages. Over the years we have repaired damages caused by the devastating ice storm, wind and lightning. We have rewired old;homes to today’s safety standards & have been involved in saving & upgrading historic buldings.

At Lorne’s Electric, we strive to give our customers fair quotations for their projects, and we believe we offer additional services to our customers that our competition has not yet achieved.

Our efficient office staff will answer the telephone personally and with courtesy. Your inquiry will be directed to our estimating department, our service desk or our shipping/ receiving department. Whatever your question we will answer it to the best of our ability.

Ongoing courses in safety and upgrading classes keep our employees knowledgeable and abreast of  today’s fast moving technology.

On staff we have a certified technician for  Generac generators. Our electrician is not  only capable of installation but has been fully trained in servicing and troubleshooting.

We enjoy the community of Arnprior and have supported the fund raising of Partners in Caring a project to upgrade the Emergency room at the Arnprior Hospital. We have made donations to local sports teams and have volunteered our services to the local theatre group.

Our youth is tomorrow’s work force and the future leaders of business. To help give guidance to our youth, Lorne’s Electric supports the Co-op program at the Arnprior High School. For many years students have complete their co-op studies with us. It is hoped that they have learned valuable skills such as teamwork, customer relations, independence,  time management and responsibility to themselves and to future employers.

To keep up with future customer demands, we  are promoting the sales and servicing of solar  power and green energy.6

Conservation, preservation of our natural  resources and consumer savings are judicious investments for present and future generations. We are here to be a partner in these decisions.
